Activity 1 1-10-11

What do the Numbers Represent?       Upper Left- atomic number. This number increases as you move across the table. (Top left to bottom right)
       Upper Right- atomic weight or mass. This generally increases as you move down a group and across a period.
       Symbol- used interchangeably with name. The name and the symbol of the name have little relation. Not all of them correspond togeter like the C for Carbon does.

What is the difference between Na and K?
Na- Sodium
    Atomic Number- 11
    Atomic Mass/Weight- 22.989770
    Row/Period-3
K- Potassium
     Atomic Number- 19
     Atomic Mass/Weight- 39.0983
     Row/ Period- 4
